India commenced the Kimberley Process Intersessional Meeting 2026 in Mumbai on May 11, bringing global participants together to discuss compliance, monitoring and consumer confidence in responsibly sourced natural diamonds.

The Forum on KP Dialogue 2026, held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, under India’s Kimberley Process Chairmanship 2026, discussed issues such as credibility, consumer confidence, compliance, and the evolving future of responsible natural diamonds, reports Khursheed Mistry.

The KP Dialogue Forum will be held in Mumbai on May 10, 2026, bringing together global diamond industry stakeholders to discuss credibility, consumer confidence and compliance across the supply chain.

In spite of an 8.76% dip in cut and polished diamond exports during April-November 2025, GJEPC remains optimistic about India’s export performance in 2026. The Council is looking forward to the BTA with the US, and should that take longer than expected, it will take all necessary measures in coordination with the government and stakeholders to support exports, and ensure continued growth, says Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC, in a conversation with Suneeta Kaul.
